A real example

One missed line can disqualify a proposal before anyone reads it.

Here is what our brief flagged in a recent Navy solicitation. None of it is on the first page of the RFP.

Navy SLDCADA follow-on · NAVWARN0003926R00059 documents · 300+ pages · 278 Q&A answers
Eligibility gate

Only SeaPort-NxG holders can bid as prime.

The SF 1449 reads like an open small-business set-aside. The restriction is only stated in the Q&A.

Source: Q&A #15
Hidden deadline

The upload link must be requested by December 1.

That is five days before proposals are due. Section L still prints "December 6, 2027". Without the link, there is no way to submit.

Source: Section L p.4; Q&A #65
Conflict

Two different page limits for the cover letter.

Table L-2.1 says 2 pages. The Q&A says 3. The brief lists it as a question to send the Contracting Officer before the deadline.

What you get

Everything your team needs to decide and start writing.

Bid / no-bid assessment

A clear recommendation and fit score, with every eligibility gate (set-aside, contract vehicle, clearances, location) checked against your company profile.

Compliance matrix

Key dates

Questions deadline, submission steps and due date, including the ones that are only in an amendment or a Q&A answer.

Proposal outline

Section headings in the order evaluators expect, a page budget for each, and the requirements each section has to answer.

Risks and red flags

Conflicting instructions, unclear page limits, incumbent advantages, open-ended fixed-price scope and other traps, ranked by impact.

Questions for the CO

Ready-to-send questions for the Contracting Officer, each tied to the exact clause, so you can resolve ambiguities before the questions deadline.

Amendment check. When the government posts an amendment, send it over and we show you exactly what changed: dates, page limits, evaluation, requirements.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What do you need from me?

The solicitation number or a link to the notice. A short company profile (size, NAICS codes, contract vehicles, clearances, location) makes the bid/no-bid call and the eligibility check specific to your company.

How fast is delivery?

Within 24 hours of receiving the solicitation number, often sooner. Rush delivery within 8 hours is available for $100.

Which solicitations can you analyze?

Any federal solicitation whose documents are public: RFPs, RFQs, task order requests and IDIQs posted on SAM.gov, and most Navy and Air Force notices posted on PIEE.

How do you make sure nothing is missed?

We read every document in the package, including spreadsheets and Q&A, and every requirement in the compliance matrix carries the document and page it comes from, so your team can check any line in seconds. Where documents conflict, the conflict is flagged as a risk rather than silently resolved.

Do you write the proposal?

No. We give your team the map: requirements, outline, risks and questions. Your team writes the proposal and stays in control of it.

What happens when there is an amendment?

Send it to us. We compare it with your brief and list exactly what changed. Amendment checks are included in the 5-Pack and Bid Desk.

Is this legal or contracting advice?

No. A brief is an analysis to help your team decide and prepare. Always verify requirements against the solicitation and all amendments before you submit.

How do I pay?

We confirm the solicitation and send a PayPal invoice in US dollars. Your first brief is free and needs no payment details at all.

Who is behind RFP Brief?

A small, independent team based in Lausanne, Switzerland, working US business hours by email. Write to [email protected] and you will hear back the same day.
